Understanding Pop and Bang Toggle Function

Pop and Bang Toggle Styles:
We know it may seem a little complicated on how you would like to have your pops active, so, we'll explain.

For Non-Ms (MS4x ECUs)

OEM+ (Timer) (Recommended)
This essentially means, whenever you let off the throttle, the pops will be active for just a few seconds. About 1.5 seconds on average is what we like to do, but you can request a different time length in the "Modifications" box. We find this to be the most pleasant for the all round daily driver as this gives all the most natural sound a just a few pops on deceleration.
Hint: You can always give the gas pedal a slight tap to reset the timer.

Active only with A/C OFF. A/C ON = OEM (Most Popular)
This option is the most popular, and is usually looked at like an "eco mode." So when you have the A/C ON, the pops will be off (OEM), but when you turn the A/C OFF, the pops will become always active. These are polar opposites. So once A/C is off, and when you are decelerating, the car will constant be popping, without a time limit. With this option, this only happens when the A/C is OFF. *Requires working A/C System*
If you are opting for the FLAME option, we suggest selecting this option for the best chances of flames.

Active only with A/C ON. A/C OFF = OEM
Similar to the option above, but opposite. So when you have the A/C OFF, the pops will be off (OEM), but when you turn the A/C ON, the pops will become always active. These are polar opposites. So once A/C is ON, and when you are decelerating, the car will constantly be popping, without a time limit. With this option, this only happens when the A/C is ON. *Requires working A/C System*

Active only with A/C OFF. A/C ON = OEM+ (Timer)
Similar to the previous options, instead of going form an on and off state, this option will allow a timer vs no timer state.
So when you have the A/C ON, the pops will be on with the "OEM+ Timer" and only pop for a short duration when you let off the throttle, but when you turn the A/C OFF, the pops will become always active.*Requires working A/C System*
If you are opting for the FLAME option, we suggest selecting this option for the best chances of flames.

Active only with A/C ON. A/C OFF = OEM+ (Timer)
Opposite of the option above, this option will allow a timer vs no timer state.
So when you have the A/C OFF, the pops will be on with the "OEM+ Timer" and only pop for a short duration when you let off the throttle, but when you turn the A/C ON, the pops will become always active.*Requires working A/C System*

Active when Cruise Control is ON
Similar to the AC toggled option except with Cruise Control.
When Cruise Control is toggled ON (light on the dash) pops and bangs will be active. When Cruise Control is turned back off, pops and bangs are turned off.

If you are opting for the FLAME option, we suggest selecting this option for the best chances of flames.

Active when Cruise Control is OFF
Similar to the AC toggled option except with Cruise Control.
When Cruise Control is toggled OFF (no light on the dash) pops and bangs will be active. When Cruise Control is turned back on (light on the dash), pops and bangs are turned off.

If you are opting for the FLAME option, we suggest selecting this option for the best chances of flames.

ALWAYS ACTIVE
Lastly you have, always active. So no matter what state your A/C is in, whether on or off, you will have endless pops. WHENEVER you let off the throttle and begin decelerating, your pops will begin without end.
If you do not have a working A/C system, you should select this option if you are opting for the FLAMES option.

For M3s (MSS54/HP ECUs) - E46

MSS54/HP tunes are currently on hold from being listed on our website, but we still offer them if you inquire with us directly.
Ultimately we will offer certain stages of aggression as our Non-M MS4x ecus (Stage 1,2,3).
Pops/Bangs/Overrun will be always active no matter the mode and or A/C state. With standard functionality and OEM like behavior. With stages 1 and 2, you can have light burble and pops upon lift off of throttle/deceleration.

You will also be able to opt for more aggressive consistent pops in Sport mode and/or in both Comfort and Sport mode.

Pops will be much more prominent and loud, you can choose to have this only above a certain rpm. By default, we select anything above 4500rpm.

With Stage 3 (with flames), we will always default to have increased aggression in Sport Mode above 4500 rpm. This is where you will hear and see loud bangs and flames emitted from the exhaust.

For M3s (MSS60 ECU) - E9x

We currently offer one overall stage for pops and bangs on E9x M3s, etc. Though upon request we can make many adjustments to suite your taste as best as possible, flames, etc.

Pops/Bangs/Overrun will be always active no matter the mode and or A/C state. With standard functionality and OEM like behavior.

You can choose to have this only above a certain rpm. By default, we select anything above 4500rpm. This way, below this RPM, while decelerating, you won't hear any pops and bangs, but decelerating above this RPM, will make the pops and bangs audible.
You can select the specific RPM range in which you want pops and bangs active, for example, 4500rpm to 6500rpm.

Keep in mind not every one one of these options is available for all ECUs. This guide explains the options available per ECU type.
