-What's the process?-
You are purchasing our remote tuning service. After purchasing your tune, you will receive an email with our software download and instructions to begin the tuning process. It is a very straight forward process. You will need a native Windows laptop and K+DCAN OBD2 Cable.
You'll essentially check for any codes the car may have and save them. Then pull a backup of the ECU as it currently sits and send it in to us. We'll then build your tune, and send it over to you for uploading. It's easy as that!
Our software/app also lets you restore & relock your ECU to stock, return to our tune files and vice versa whenever you please.

MSS60 ECU Tuning REQUIRES quality cables with updated firmware. Generic cables from ebay and amazon (and similar) with outdated firmware WILL cause issues when uploading tunes to your ECU. Below are a couple dyno graphs comparing stock tunes to our tunes. Some companies have stated that it is not possible to gain power below 4/5k rpm, and can only increase power beyond 4/5k, this is simply not true. With proper and efficient changes, we can safely increase power throughout the ENTIRE rev range! Just look at those gains through the power band! The S65 is specifically a big passion of ours and we are extremely proud of how safely and effectively we've been able to consistently extract more power, both when comparing to stock tunes and other tunes on the market.
We are able to deliver some of the best power in all driving conditions with some of the safest ignition timing targets. Many tunes set ignition timing targets very high and/or desensitize knock control and rely on the ECU to do the work
,
while we have made very deliberate changes to many other areas to improve the engines performance and efficiency without the need to force high ignition timing targets or desensitize knock control.

OPTIONS(explained):
Hardcut Rev Limiter (NEW):
- Removes the soft rev limiter to a more noticeable motorsport bouncing rev limiter. We are the first in the world to develop this feature for the S65 platform. We've conducted so much more testing than we could even express, we have put an extraordinary amount of time in this feature to ensure it behaves desirably and appropriately. We have run this feature on our own S65 for the last 2-3 years for about 20k-30k miles with more rev limiter abuse than many of our customers might ever see.
THROTTLE ENHANCEMENT:
- Enhances the stock pedal feel be a bit more lively and responsive across the board. Not over the top, but just enough.
- Enhancing the servotronic system (electric assist for your steering), making you feel more connected to the road when you need it most.
COLD START OIL REV LIMIT PROTECTION & MAX TEMP PROTECTION :
- We all know how important the right oil and temperatures affect the health of our beloved S65s. From factory, your rev limiter and warmup indicator enable you to rev out your S65 even before your oil temp is fully up to temp. We revised breakpoints and RPM setpoints so you have a more linear and appropriate warmup sequence, only enabling the full rev range when your oil is in the correct temperature window.
From factory, your ECU only begins limiting your engine speed when your oil temps exceed 150°C, that's over 300°F!!! We have revised this to begin limiting engine speeds right around at the temperature which most oils begin breaking down, so you can catch it and cool down before it's too late. We hope no one ever gets there but, just in case :).
REVISED MAX COOLANT TEMP PROTECTION:
- From factory, the ECU only begins limiting engine speed when your coolant temps exceed 115°C, or 240°F, which may just be too late. Just in case, we have made some adjustments to begin limiting engine speeds a bit sooner.
- Increasing idle rpm can be useful for those that have lightweight flywheels and/or stiffer engine/transmission mounts as it can remove the vibration caused by these modification.
QUIET COLD START:
- This features aims to quiet and almost totally remove the cold start sequence. This may be beneficial to those with catless headers and loud exhausts who want a little bit of a quieter start up in the mornings.
GTS Startup Roar (NEW):
- This features gives you that aggressive startup commonly found on newer GTS models. We believe this is the startup your M3 deserves and needs! We also know how important your cold starts and safe operating oil temperatures are so, GTS Startup Roar only activates and gets it's full aggression once the vehicle is already warm, your cold starts will behave just like stock. We are the first in the world to develop this feature for the S65 platform.
POPS AND BANGS/FLAMES/OVERRUN FUEL CUTOFF:
- This feature enables pops and bangs upon lift off of the throttle. While decelerating, pops and bangs will be omitted from the exhaust. You can select varying ways of enabling this function as well as varying aggressions, some of which can be tailored to a very mild OEM spec setting or, a crazy setting with flames and loud gunshot like bangs. We know it may seem a little complicated on how you would like to have your pops active, so, we'll explain. Check out this Pop and Bang Toggle Styles to read details on the options/styles.
LAUNCH CONTROL FOR 6MT
- 6-speed manual M3s never got launch control, so, we fix that with this feature. This feature sets a standstill rev limiter to your desired choice, as a launch control, to aid you in launching your car from a standstill. You can choose from a variety of RPM setpoints, or a custom one, to try and optimize for your level of grip as best as possible. With this option selected, you'll receive two tunes, one with launch control not active, and another with launch control active.
Extra Maps (NEW):
- We offer two extra map option add-ons. An Anti-Theft Map and a Valet Mode Map. After flashing your initial tune, using our CCFlash Windows software or Android app, you can switch to the Anti-Theft Map or Valet Mode Map, back to your tune and vice versa in under 1 minute. Anti-Theft Map prevents engine start, the engine will crank but will not start, even with throttle application. Valet Mode Map limits engine power by approximately 50%, max RPM of 3,500rpm and a max speed of 45mph.
Datalogging can be conducted to promote the best calibration for your vehicle even without a dyno.

All tunes are allowed up to 3 customer requested revisions up to 14 days after receiving your first tune, at no extra cost.
If requested by the customer, Rear O2 and SAP "Bypasses" are intended to notify the ECU of no longer installed hardware which is already removed by the customer. Rear O2 Bypasses are for those that have already removed their catalytic converters/rear o2 sensors and have cat codes and/or rear o2 codes. SAP Bypasses are for those that have removed their cats and/or secondary air pump system and have codes for secondary air pump. This is NOT used to pass emissions testing, bypass emission equipment, manipulate emission equipment, etc. It is the customers responsibility to abide by your applicable local, state, and/or federal laws.
