Custom tuning like no other for your supercharged or turbocharged N52!
We at Chaos Calibrations have worked extensively on our N52 tunes. Our FI tunes have been in development for the last few years alone and we have been tuning many different configurations behind the scenes. We have worked extremely hard with the stock ECU logic to ensure maximum drivability and power under all conditions. Many supercharged and especially turbocharged vehicles can suffer from idle oscillations and weird drivability which we can all resolve with our tuning!
We can tune with both your MAF sensor installed and also MAFLess. We don't need to force the ECU into MAF fault mode and cutting the MAF wire like other OTS tunes, as we can properly tune using the MAF as a correct load source. MAFLess option is only suitable for supercharged vehicles. We recommend you run with the MAF sensor since we can tune appropriately for it but if you wish to run mafless, we can tune for that as well. We properly convert your ECU load source rather than suppressing DTCs and rely on ECU fault mode like many others!
We are the ONLY tuning company in the world also offering tuning via mobile devices with all our in own in house built software and apps! We are capable of convenient and detailed datalogging of your N51 and N52 straight from our in-house apps unlike anyone else! No ugly 3rd party datalogging software, different flash tools, etc., ALL IN ONE APP!

-What's the process?-
You are purchasing our remote tuning service. After purchasing your tune, you will receive an email with our software download and instructions to begin the tuning process. It is a very straight forward process. You will need a native Windows laptop and K+DCAN OBD2 Cable.
You'll essentially check for any codes the car may have and save them. Then pull a backup of the ECU as it currently sits and send it in to us. We'll then build your base map, and send it over to you for uploading. It's easy as that!
We will then conduct datalogging to best optimize the tune to your vehicles setup.

MSV70 ECU Tuning REQUIRES quality cables with updated firmware.

OPTIONS(explained):
THROTTLE ADJUSTMENT:
- Adjusts the way the throttle pedal feels. "Enhancement" enhances the stock pedal feel be a bit more lively and responsive. "Linear" remaps the throttle characteristic to behave more linear.
THERMOSTAT ADJUSTMENT (NEW):
- We target a lower coolant temperature (based on your selected option) to open the stock E-Thermostat sooner and run the engine at cooler temperatures.
HARDCUT REV LIMITER (NEW):
- Removes that annoying soft rev limiter to a noticeable bouncing rev limiter!
INCREASE IDLE RPM:
- Increasing idle rpm can be useful for those that have lightweight flywheels and/or stiffer engine/transmission mounts as it can remove the vibration caused by these modification.
QUIET COLD START (NEW):
- This features aims to quiet and almost totally remove the cold start sequence. This may be beneficial to those with catless headers and loud exhausts who want a little bit of a quieter start up in the mornings.
GHOST CAM IDLE:
- This feature makes your idle lumpy and choppy to sound like it has big cams. Also known as "Ghost Cam."
This inherently creates rough idle. This sound affect, some enjoy, although most do not enjoy the rough idle. For this, we provide two separate tunes, one with the function on, and one with it off. Switching between the two will often require adaptations reset. This can easily be done within our software.
POPS AND BANGS/FLAMES/OVERRUN FUEL CUTOFF:
- This feature enables pops and bangs upon lift off of the throttle. While decelerating, pops and bangs will be omitted from the exhaust. You can select varying ways of enabling this function as well as varying aggressions, some of which can be tailored to a very mild OEM spec setting or, a crazy setting with flames and loud gunshot like bangs. We know it may seem a little complicated on how you would like to have your pops active, so, we'll explain. Check out this Pop and Bang Toggle Styles to read details on the options/styles
GTS STARTUP ROAR (NEW):
- This feature gives you that aggressive startup commonly known and found on newer GTS models :).
ENABLE LEFT FOOT BRAKING ("BRT" Mode) (NEW):
- This feature finally enables left foot braking, allowing you to brake and apply throttle at the same time. Introducing what we like to call BRT Mode!
Ideal for drifting, heel and toe revmatching, burnouts, turbo cars and more. Finally unleashing your N51/N52s brake + throttle performance. This means your N51/52 will no longer cut throttle when applying heavy braking. This will enable you to do burnouts and most importantly, heel-toe downshift in your manuals at the track where you previously could not.
If requested by the customer, Rear O2 and SAP "Bypasses" are intended to notify the ECU of no longer installed hardware which is already removed by the customer. This is NOT used to pass emissions testing, bypass emission equipment, manipulate emission equipment, etc. It is the customers responsibility to abide by your applicable local, state, and/or federal laws.
